Steve has been moved from Warfrin to Heperin (not sure of the spelling!) as a treatment for his blood, which means he can no longer take the medicine in tablet form but needs to be injected!
So today we went to the Doctors for me to be given a lesson in injecting Steve! Now just so I can put this into context I cant even watch casualty without feeling sick! so this is pushing the boundaries of girlfriend to its limits! But needs must and all! And there is something a bit sinister and amusing about holding a needle and pinching Steves tummy fat (not that there is any!) and injecting him! Cant help but think of the film "Misery!" So he better behave!!! :-)
Steve will probably inject himself most days or at least I hope he will! But in case he is too poorly to do so I need to be taught!
Have to say I felt very faint, to the point the Nurse told me to sit down and offered me a glass of water!! Steve was brave as usual and didnt flinch!

Well Nurse stuff done with back to being a travel booker! Looks like after much conflicting advice on whether he can fly or not! One Doctor saying Yes the other saying No and both agreeing several days in a car driving to Spain would not be a good idea. He is going back for a scan on Monday to check to see whether the blood clot is still there. If it is we are going to go on a driving holiday to France and if it isnt we are going to Spain. Eithier way we will be off on our hols on Tuesday!
Steve is doing really well in himself and its amazing how much better he is, given it was only a few weeks ago he had his operation.
