Steve has just had his 2nd dose at 11pm and it was a full 12 hours between doses. Steve has struggled today with his blood pressure and lack of fluid, seems to be the cause.
After being sick over 20 times, a high temperature and then so cold that 3 blankets on top of the sheets wouldn't keep him warm its been a long day and it is all about to start again.
He didn't have the rigors after the first dose but has felt terrible all day and in a way missed the shakes, as he at least gets some rest bite from all of this when the pethadine finally kicks in.
Tom came and spoke to us this morning and he is aiming for between 4 and 6 doses this week. And he really feels that he wouldn't do another round of this for treatment as 2 cycles is the maximum he works to. Steve and I don't really understand what this means if all of the cancer has not gone but feel that this week is not the time to get into questioning with Tom.
Well its a waiting game now for the side effects of this does to start, so I'm going to keep this post short, so I can try and get some sleep in the chair before the side effects start.......
I can't imagine how exhausted you two must be. I will be thinking of you through this course of treatment, and I hope you know that if there is anything I can do to help, in any way, you only have to shout.
